In 2024, the Cryptology Department was separated from the Algebra and Geometry Department due to the transformation of the Cryptology educational program into a new group of educational programs at the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty. The expansion of teaching areas required the division of the department.
The department is engaged in research and development work, trains the best specialists in the field of information security. Graduates of the department are in demand in various institutions, enterprises, law enforcement agencies and military-industrial complexes and ensure information security.
The educational process of the department is provided by highly qualified teachers working both on a permanent basis and part-time.
8 teachers work in the department. Among them, 1 candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, 1 candidate of technical sciences, 3 PhD doctors, 3 masters work. Every year, teachers undergo professional development courses.
