Online meeting on academic and scientific cooperation between ENU and METU
On April 24, 2026, an online meeting was held on the Zoom platform between the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and the Middle East Technical University (METU).

During the meeting, the parties exchanged greetings, presented the research areas of their faculties, and provided comprehensive information about the cryptology degree program. They also discussed opportunities for academic mobility within the Erasmus and Erasmus+ programs, joint research projects, and the organization of guest lectures and short courses.

The parties placed particular emphasis on cooperation in the area of scientific supervision, exploring the possibility of engaging professors from the Middle East Technical University (METU) as external scientific supervisors for master's and doctoral students. Furthermore, they discussed the prospects for participating in joint grant projects based on international partnerships within the framework of the national scientific programs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, reports were presented, an open discussion was held, and participants exchanged views in a question-and-answer session.
The videoconference was held in a constructive and businesslike atmosphere, allowing the parties to identify specific areas and next steps for developing academic and scientific cooperation.
