REPORT
On the results of the meeting between teachers and students of IT specialties and potential employers from the industry
Meeting Objectives:
To provide graduates of IT specialties, including applied mathematics and computer modeling from the university, with employment, internships, industrial practice, and to develop applied science.
For this purpose, under the guidance of Gulnur Smagulova, representative of the "Career and Business Partnership" unit, more than 10 of the country's largest IT employers, dozens of real-world cases, and hundreds of talented students were invited to L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University.
Participants of the meeting included industry leaders: KMGEngineering, AtyrauTechInvest, ERG, EPAM Systems-ADNOC, JSC "NIIT", PROPER SOLUTIONS, Transtelecom, DevTops, and others.
Company representatives personally assessed the potential of future specialists, and the event became a practical platform where students solved applied tasks set by representatives of leading IT companies in Kazakhstan.
Results:
- Student Symbat Baidilda from group Statistics 35 received an official job offer.
- Two students from ENU were preliminarily invited for an internship.
- Six students from KATRU were invited for an internship.
- Proposals for organizing collaborative work in educational and scientific directions were received from the following organizations:

It was recommended to pay attention to the study of the following subjects:
- Architecture of modern IT structures, including IoT (equipment, networks, etc.)
- Operating systems such as Linux, Android, etc.
- Computer modeling, IS design applicable to modern requirements.
- Modern approaches to programming applicable to practical tasks (full stack, ERP systems, AI libraries, etc.)
- Having completed projects on modern applied topics, coordinated with industry professionals.
Work Plans:
- Conclude memoranda and agreements with enterprises.
- Create a working group with employers to determine work directions.
- Develop a roadmap.

First-year students of the specialty "Mathematical and Computer Modeling" have thetraining practice from May 25 to June 13, 2020. The training practice is carried out remotely through the MS Teams platform due to an emergency in the country. During thepractice, students learn algorithms, the C ++ programming language, its special characters, operators and functions, solve various problems, write programs. Tasks and daily work of students are stored on Google Disk, created according to a special guide. The supervisor also oversees and evaluates students' daily workby system of Platonus.
Pedagogical practice for the 2020-2021 academic year for 2nd year doctoral students in the specialty 8D06105 of mathematical and computer modeling takes place from 09/01/2020 to 10/13/2020. The practice is conducted remotely through the ZOOM platform. Daily reports of teaching practice and undergraduates are stored on GoogleDisk, created by the practice leader. Head of practice Akanova K.M. also monitors and evaluates the daily work of students using the AIS Platonus system.
The 4th year students of the Department of Mathematical and Computer Modeling in the specialty "5B070500-Mathematical and Computer Modeling" underwent practical training using distance learning technology from September 28 to October 24, 2020.
In accordance with the academic calendar for the 2019-2020 academic year, the internship, which was to take place from May 25 to June 6, 2020, was postponed to the fall semester of the 2020-2021 academic year due to the COVID-19 quarantine.

From 30.01.2023 to 08.04.2023, 2nd year doctoral students of the Department of Mathematical and computer modeling of L. N. Gumilyov ENU underwent research practice. Doctoral students conducted research on their dissertations and received scientific results.
