Research work

At the Department of Mechanics, research activities are an integral part of the process of training highly qualified bachelors and masters. It is aimed at solving urgent problems of mechanics and mathematics in fundamental and applied sciences, as well as at expanding international relations with universities in the near and far abroad.

The work plan for the research of the department is drawn up for a calendar year and, according to the relevant points, is indicated in the individual work plans of teaching staff and undergraduates. The research work plan is discussed and approved at a meeting of the department signed by the head of the department and the person responsible for the research of the department from among the full-time staff.

The organization of research work is carried out according to the following main points:

- implementation of research projects (R&D) and services for state budget financing, on the basis of contracts with employers, as well as on initiative topics, according to the research plan of the teaching staff, research and development of the department, within the framework of the approved general plan of the university and faculty;

- publication of the results of scientific works of teaching staff, students and undergraduates on the pages of rating periodicals with high IFS included in international databases (MB), in the databases of the higher attestation system of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation (or RSCI), as well as in other publications of the Republic, far and near abroad (journals, collections of scientific conferences, etc.); 

- publication of generalizing results of scientific works of teaching staff, students and undergraduates in the form of author's (individual) and collective scientific monographs;

- execution and defense of master's, PhD and doctoral dissertations, including scientific guidance on them;

- membership in the organizational and program committees of international scientific conferences, symposiums and forums, participation in the review of scientific papers and papers, membership in the editorial boards of international and republican periodicals (journals) and collections of works;

- participation of teaching staff, students and undergraduates in scientific conferences, symposiums, forums (with full-time and part-time (poster) presentations), research competitions, exhibitions of innovative works, Olympiads, salons of inventions, etc.; - participation of teaching staff, students and undergraduates in the work of scientific seminars of the university, faculty and department, including the organization of scientific schools. In the period from 2015 to 2017. (inclusive) NIP and services were funded with the participation of the following employees of the department:        

- head of the NIP Dzhaychibekov N.Zh.: "Development of a mathematical model and a method for calculating non-stationary two-phase (gas-liquid) flows in pipes in the presence of physico-chemical transformations (mass transfer between gas and liquid and formation of solid deposits on the walls)", under the budget program 055 "Scientific and/or scientific and technical activities", subprogram 101 "Grant financing of scientific research", 2015 – 2017 (coordinator for international cooperation Matveev S.K. – Prof. Kaf. Mechanics, smart@rambler.ru )e             

- Akhmetov S.M., co-director and executor from the Kazakh side of the joint NIP carried out at Dubna University (Dubna, Moscow region): "Contours of the systemic implementation of the strategy of noospheric sustainable development in a special period of life of the country and the world":

Block II – "Development of technology and technical means to increase the sustainability of energy resources based on the justification of the new law of conservation of power." The state budget program of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Moscow Region is FPN-456/2014. The total amount of financing for the period 2014-2017 is 15 million. RUB, including for 2017 – 4.5 million rubles.          

- Leading researcher (VNS) and NIP contractor Kaliev A.B.: "The development of new highly efficient methods of surface engineering and the creation of industrial technologies based on them, ensuring an increase in the durability of tribo-joints of mechanical engineering products." Grant project of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.         According to the results of the research of the department, the following important scientific events were held and decisions were made:         

- On April 7, 2017, within the framework of the approved general action plan of the Decade of Science of L.N. Gumilev ENU, a scientific seminar on the topic "Topical issues of mechanics and machine science" was held, which is important for further scientific and innovative activities of the department:         

- Teaching staff, undergraduates and students of the Department of Mechanics took part on-line in the international scientific and practical conference held by the Kazakhstan University of Innovative and Telecommunication Systems (Uralsk) with the participation of leading scientists from Dubna University, Samara State University of Economics and Penza State University, as part of the approved general plan of the event Decades of Science at the L.N. Gumilyov ENU. Based on the recommendations (results) proposed at the conferences, the creation of the Kazakhstan branch of the International Scientific School of Sustainable Development named after P.G.Kuznetsov Academy" in Astana, on the basis of the Department of Mechanics as a public department within the framework of the implementation of programs of scientific and educational activities and international communication of the department. - under the guidance of a scientific consultant, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Akhmetov S.M., on August 18, 2017, a dissertation for a PhD degree was defended Kamieva A.A. in the doctoral program of the Varna Free University. Chernorizets is Brave (Republic of Bulgaria).  The work was performed at the Department of Administration and Management of the Faculty of International Economics and Administration of the above-mentioned University. Specialization: "Organization and management of production (industry)". Professional direction: 3.7. "Administration and management".       

The place of permanent work of the applicant is Uralsk, the Scientific and educational complex "KAZITU". Taking into account the tasks set by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the university teams of the country, the research activities of the department cover not only fundamental research, but also have a predominantly scientific and technical applied nature. In 2017, the following research results were put into production, which are confirmed by relevant acts and certificates of implementation:       

- the results of research on the topic "Protection of ground-driven screw oil pumps from vibration", performed by a graduate student and a student of MMF ENU under the guidance of Professor S.M. Akhmetov: computational, dynamic and mathematical models of oscillatory processes in a column of rods, as well as a methodology for evaluating vibration parameters in the rod - coupling-rod system are accepted in the educational process of the university for use as methodological and reference information material in the performance of term papers and theses in the specialties 5B050708 - "Oil and gas business" and 5B050724 – "Technological machines and equipment";        

- research results on the topic "Ortalyktandyrylgan elektr kuaty kozinen shalgai zherlerde ornalaskan sharuashylyktar jagdayynda ondiristik kaldyktarynan otyn briketterin dayyndauga arnalgan mashinalyk unit" ("A machine unit for the preparation of fuel briquettes from industrial waste in the conditions of the location of farms in areas remote from central source of electricity"), performed by a graduate student and a student of MMF ENU under the guidance of I.O. Associate professor Mukhambetalina D.J. They were accepted into the educational process of the organization for use as methodological and reference information material in the performance of term papers and theses in the specialty 5B050724 - "Technological machines and equipment".       

It should be noted that students also participate in the implementation of scientific research within the framework of the university (cathedral) science development program, focused on innovative results. For these purposes, starting from the 3rd year, each student, and for a master's student from the 1st year, a supervisor is assigned, whose tasks include not only providing methodological assistance in preparing a qualifying final paper, but also carrying out certain work with students to master the basics of scientific research. Such work, as a rule, is mainly implemented in the form of students' participation in scientific conferences of the L.N. Gumilev ENU, as well as in conferences held in other universities and cities of the republic and neighboring countries. Scientific supervisors, based on the results of participation in the conference, publish articles in collections of works jointly in collaboration with students. The scientific directions of the teaching staff of the department are determined by the specialization profiles of scientific schools of leading teachers: applied mechanics – Professor Ibraev A.G.; fluid mechanics – Professor Dzhaychibekov N.Zh.; stability of deformable systems – Professor Kishauov K.S.; hydrodynamics of jet devices - Associate Professor Kasabekov M.I.; mechanics of deformable solids – Associate Professor Duzelbaev S.; vibration machines – Associate Professor Alimzhanov M.D.; theory of gyroscopes – Associate Professor Bostanov B.B.; theory of mechanisms and machines – Professor Akhmetov S.M.

The department is actively working on publishing the results of scientific research in the rating scientific publications of Russia (RSCI, Chemical Abstracts) and the Republic of Kazakhstan. The entry of some employees of the department into the editorial board of Russian and Kazakh periodicals and electronic journals in the future allows students to participate in the work of international distance scientific conferences. This form of participation of students and PSS in the work of the conference allows you to save time and money on transportation costs and travel.   Akhmetov S.M. is the editor-in-chief of the electronic scientific journal published in Moscow by the Association of Researchers "Siberian Academic Book" (ANS "SibAK")  "UNIVERSUM: Technical Sciences" and Chairman of the editorial board of the printed monthly collection of scientific papers "Technical Sciences: from theory to practice" published by this organization in Novosibirsk (eLIBRARY.RU ). By the end of the academic year, it is planned to strengthen the work on attracting students to participate in remote conferences. After participating in conferences, academic supervisors and students receive certificates of participation by mail, and reports are published in monthly collections of these conferences. As part of the academic mobility program of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, students study for one semester at universities in the near and far abroad. In 2015-2016, as well as in the 2016-2017 academic years, students and undergraduates practice at the universities of Malaizia, the Czech Republic and St. Petersburg (appendix). In the future, it is possible to carry out as an additional scientific practice visits to a certain number of students to well-known universities in Russia, such as the International University of Nature, Society and Man Dubna, Samara National Research University named after S.P. Korolev, Novosibirsk State Research University, etc. Dubna University in Kazakhstan has a branch of the International Scientific School of Sustainable Development named after P.G. Kuznetsova Academy, which is based in Uralsk and closely cooperates with the Department of Mechanics. In this aspect, it is planned to prepare joint reports with students in the framework of cooperation with scientists of Dubna University, especially in the development and implementation of joint scientific programs in the field of energy, productivity and efficiency improvement. These issues are currently relevant in connection with the next 2017 world exhibition of achievements of science and technology "EXPO-2017", the scientific theme of which is associated with such concepts as "Future Energy" and "City of the Future", where the whole world will present its best developments in the field of exploration of new energy sources.
