On February 22, 2025, a city Olympiad was held for students in grades 10-11 of schools in Astana and the surrounding area at the Department of Cryptology of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. This event, jointly organized by the Department of Cryptology and the National Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, became a platform for students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in the fascinating world of cryptology.

The Cryptology Olympiad is organized not only to arouse students' interest in this fundamental area of information security, but also to identify and support talented students. In our digital world, the importance of cryptology is growing, and in this regard, the Olympiad provides an opportunity for young talented children to realize their potential.
Students from various schools of the city and suburban schools participated in the Olympiad. These cryptologist students not only represented their schools, but also demonstrated their passion for solving puzzles, ciphers and mathematical algorithms.
